横山将基はオフィス、店舗、住宅の設計、グラフィックや写真も手がけるデザイナーだ。空間、プロダクト、イメージ、パッケージなどソフトとハードを行き来できる自由さと、それらをまとめ上げて製品まで完結できる遂行力を兼ね備えている。
rofmiaのイメージを作っていく上で、そのほぼを彼が担っている。私たち夫婦と横山の３人でrofmiaを作っていると言ってもいい。

rofmiaのイメージは、店から車で15分の範囲内で必ず撮影するようにしている。場所というのは生活から絶対に切り離せないものである。だからこそ私たちに関わりのある場所を選ぶ必要がある。場所というのはそれほどに大切なものだ。
しかし、横山の撮影する美濃加茂の景色は、正直それが美濃加茂であるのかわからないような匿名性の高いイメージばかりである。岩場、石、水面、苔などをスケールの感覚がなくなるほどに引き伸ばしたり、凹凸感が無くなるほどにフラットに撮影している。
私たちにとって関わりの深い大切な場所から、その関係性を排除していく。穏やかな風土の中に、研ぎ澄まされたイメージがただただ人知れずそこにある。それはまさに、私たちがrofmiaで目指している姿である。
The image of rofmia is always taken within a 15-minute drive from the store. A place is absolutely inseparable from life. That is why we need to choose a place that is relevant to us. The place is so important.
However, the scenery of Minokamo taken by Yokoyama is just an image with high anonymity that makes it difficult to tell whether it is Minokamo. Stretch rocks, stones, water surface, moss, etc. so that the sense of scale disappears. The shot is flat enough to eliminate the unevenness.
We will eliminate that relationship from the important places that are deeply involved with us. In a calm climate, a sharpened image is just unknowingly there. That is exactly what we are aiming for at rofmia.
rofmiaでは4月21日(水) 〜 26日(月)の期間、横山が近年取り組んでいるシリーズ「NEW / CITY」の展示を行います。本展示では写真の展示販売、オリジナルグッズの販売を行います。切り取られた景色を転写したバッグは一点ずつ柄が異なります。会期終了後にオンラインショップでも販売します。
期間中は店内の換気など感染予防を徹底して展示を行います。お越しの皆様にもマスクの着用と手指消毒のご協力をお願い致します。遠方にお住まいの方、当日体調の優れない方の為にオンラインで展示をご覧いただけるよう準備しております。詳細は後日ウェブサイトにてご連絡いたします。
From Wednesday, April 21st to Monday, April 26th, rofmia will be exhibiting the series "NEW / CITY" that Yokoyama has been working on in recent years. 「ライフワークとして私が取り続けていた街の写真を並べて眺めていると、どこかの一つの街の中を見ているような感覚があった。それらの写真は撮影したその場所であると同時に、そこではないどこかの街のように思えた。私は街の断片的な写真を繋ぎ合わせて架空の街を構築する。」
